KYBELLA® DOUBLE CHIN FAT BLASTER
Kybella was approved in April as a non-surgical injectable treatment for moderate-to-severe fat located under the chin. The active ingredient is identical to an acid produced by the body to absorb fat cells. This acid destroys the cell membrane, which in turn destroys the cell, and allows the body to safely eliminate it. Tested in over 1000 adults in two clinical studies, Kybella is proven to be effective and safe, leaving other cells intact and untouched.
A Kybella treatment is normally 20 to 30 minutes long depending on the area to be treated. Before treatment, a topical anesthetic is applied to keep patients comfortable during the procedure. Injections are made with extremely small gauge needles just into the fat layer. Each session may have between 15 and 45 micro-injections to ensure full coverage of the treatment area. Most patients will need between 3 to 6 sessions scheduled no more than a month apart and will see definite improvement after the second treatment.
