Chesapeake Laser & Skin Care Wins Second Place!

What's Up Best of Annapolis and Eastern Shore Event – June 24, 2010

This year’s event was entitled “Discovering our Local Treasures”. All winners were encouraged to participate by designing a hat highlighting their local treasures. A prize of $250 was awarded to the “Best Discovering Our Local Treasures” hat of the evening. Businesses contributed to the Silent Auction. This year’s charity recipients were Environmental Concern, Chesapeake Children’s Museum, Downtown Annapolis Flowers, and Annapolis Opera.

Bosom Buddies Charities: Mission Statement

breast cancer Bosom Buddies Charities' mission is to promote breast cancer awareness, research and prevention and to benefit diagnostic mammography, treatment methodology and healing.

Based in Queen Anne's County on Maryland's "Eastern Shore" Bosom Buddies Charities, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) organization whose work is focused on the Mid-Shore area.

Special Olympics Upper Shore: Polar Bear Plunge —"Be a Fan!"

We wish to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you for your support during the Maryland State Police Polar Bear Plunge.

"The Maryland State Police Polar Bear Plunge began in 1997 with 350 Plungers raising $75,000 in order to support and raise awareness for the 10,000 athletes who train and compete throughout the year in Special Olympics Maryland's sports programs." This year's event had 11,000 plungers and raised $2.5 million. What a wonderful difference from 12 years earlier!

Gloria & Ed Peithman, Mike Maskell, and Alexandra ("Zandy") Cheezum represented Chesapeake Laser and Skin Care Center on Saturday, January 24th, and were able to raise $1,000 for this great cause!
